General Information

Grana Padano is an Italian D.O.P cheese produced in Northern Italy and matured for typically 14 to 15 months, although it is also enjoyed at 9 months for a more mellow flavour . A traditional Italian cheese made from fat reduced unpasteurised milk in the traditional manner as prescribed by the D.O.P procedure.

Grana Padano has a sweet and fruity aroma, a hard texture with a characteristic graininess. It has a full balanced fruity and nutty flavour without sharpness.

Pairings

Grana Padano is an ingredient for hundreds of recipes. But prehaps it is best enjoyed with some fresh bread or breadsticks, as their neutral taste enhances the cheese aroma, along with fruit such as pears.
